Recount Text Definition
Literally, recount means "telling". So recount text can be translated as "Text to tell". An examination of the information on school books (read: English Books SMP / SMA) recount text is a text telling the reader about That one story, action or activity. Generic structure (general arrangement) recount text consists of:
WHO Tells INVOLVED orientation was, what happened, where the events took place, and when it happened. ("Orientation" to tell anyone involved in the story, what happened, where to place the events occurred, and when the event occurs)
Events tell what happened and in what sequence. ("Event" to tell what happened (again) and tells the story sequence)
Reorientation consists of optional-closure of events / endings. ("Reorientation" contains a cover story / end of story)
