If you feel tired of playing games with your hands or feet, then this one may be tried. A group of University of Electro in Japan are developing a system that allows movement of the tongue to replace the game controller when playing video games.
Researchers at the University of controller utilizes Microsoft's kinect to develop their discoveries. Kinect itself is sebuahperangkat addition to the Xbox game console, which allows control of the game using body movements, arm or leg, even passing through the sensor noise.
Microsoft's Kinect is modified to read the movements of the tongue, as well as read the body movement of the hand or the player. The technology is said to be used as a training tool mouth muscles for stroke patients suffering from oral motor dysfunction. So they can train mouth muscles so as not to get bored while playing.
Unfortunately, the technology to play games using the motion of the tongue is still far from perfect. The researchers acknowledge that their system still needs much improvement to be more responsive in detecting movement of the tongue or lips.
